The Nepal Automobiles Association (NASA Nepal) has been officially designated as a special sports organization and is included in the National Sports Council’s listings. Registered as the Nepal Automobiles Sports Association on June 4, 2008, with registration number 70, it has achieved recognition as a special sports association by the amended statute passed in May 2023.
Since its establishment, the association has remained committed to promoting adventure and tourism sports in Nepal. Now, it has adopted the main slogan “Connecting People: Empowering People.”
The Nepal Automobiles’ Association has established a fresh working committee and devised a four-year action plan. Furthermore, The Association has shared a comprehensive report on the experience of the past one and half decades, titled Community to World (Tole dekhin World samma).
On July 29, 2023, the elective general assembly took place, during which the association approved the previous progress and financial report. The Annual General Assembly (AGA) also endorsed the annual and periodical programs and budgets. In addition, it designated 20 executive officials through a combination of elections and nominations from the existing 25-member working committee.
Dashrath Risal will continue to serve as the President, while Dr. Buland Thapa has been newly elected as the Deputy President. Sitaram Neupane and Anil Baral have been chosen as Vice Presidents. Sushil Tandukar is now the General Secretary, with Santosh Nyaupane and Niraj Khadka Chhetri taking on the roles of secretaries. Additionally, Mahesh Adhikari, Binod Tandukar, and Diprash Shakya have been nominated as secretaries. Dhanyamani Nepal has been elected as the Treasurer, and Kamala Chettri has been nominated as the joint treasurer. The committee members include Sanju Bajracharya, Pragya Adhikari, Yaduraj Lamichhane, Victory Thapa, and Shramik GC, while Chadmala Maskey, Sanjay Baral, and Mingma Dolma Tamang have been nominated as committee members.
The General Assembly appointed the Founder General Secretary During the General Assembly, the Founder General Secretary, Govinda Bhattarai, was appointed as the Executive Director to lead the secretariat for the upcoming four years.
